Lufthansa A380’s Return

In 2021, Lufthansa affirmed that their 14 A380s would not be coming back. Amid the decrease in travel due to the pandemic, Lufthansa did not meet the demands required to fly the super-jumbo.

With the rise of travel this year, Lufthansa’s demand exceeded projected numbers. With the need of higher capacity aircraft and the delay of the Boeing 777 X orders, Lufthansa confirmed that it would be bringing part of its A380 fleet back into service starting the summer of 2023. Although its routes are not certain, I have compiled a list of potential destinations.
