Privacy Policy

Haze has no accounts, no ads, and no third-party tracking or analytics. There isn't much data to talk about, but here's exactly how the app handles what it touches.
What Haze collects
I don't collect anything. There are no servers of mine, no login, and no analytics. The app doesn't build a profile of you, and nothing is ever sold, shared, or used to make money.
Location
If you allow location access, Haze uses it only while the app is open, and only to show the forecast where you are. Your coordinates stay on your device and are sent to the weather provider to load that forecast. They're never stored on any server of mine and never tied to your identity.
Location is optional. You can turn it off in iOS Settings and still use everything: tap the search icon and type in any city to see its forecast.
Saved locations and settings
Your saved locations and settings (like whether you use °F or °C) stay on your device. Deleting the app removes them.
Weather data and third parties
Forecasts come from Open-Meteo, a free, open weather API. To load a forecast, the app sends the relevant coordinates (your location, or a city you searched) to Open-Meteo. No API key, account, or personal information is attached. What Open-Meteo does with those requests is covered by its own terms and privacy practices.
Apple's privacy label
To match the App Store privacy label: Haze may use precise or coarse location for app functionality only. That data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you.
Children
Haze is rated 4+ and fine for all ages. It doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes up on this page with an updated date at the top.
